TClockEx. It's not a very catchy name, but this tiny program is the epitome of a well-written utility.
TClockEx enhances the Windows Taskbar time display and it does so unobtrusively and powerfully.
Grab a copy from the TClockEx site, extract it to a folder and run the program. You'll see the results instantly in your Taskbar tray (the right-hand end of the Taskbar).
Instead of just the time, TClockEx displays the date as well. If you don't like the format, right-click the time display and choose TClockEx Properties from the pop-up menu. You'll find you have complete control over the time and date format (click the Format Elements button to see examples of each format).
TClockEx packs a few other handy items into its right-click menu, including the option to copy the current date and time to the clipboard, a handy little calendar and the ability to display information about system resources. What I really like about the program is that it doesn't go overboard and overload itself with unnecessary items. That's why it's so small and and so easy on your precious system resources.
The only thing missing from TClockEx is a proper installation routine. If it had that, it would rate as a perfect utility. Even without it, it's so good you'd be mad not to download it.
