My Documents toolbars

Contrast Windows Me’s My Documents’ toolbar (above) with Windows 98’s (below). Windows Me adds Search, Folders and History buttons and replaces the Cut, Copy and Paste tools with the Move To and Copy To tools. You’ll still find the Cut, Copy and Paste options available on the Edit Menu, and you can always use keyboard shortcuts to achieve the same results. Just highlight a file and press:

Ctrl-X to cut the file (delete the file from its current location and copy it onto the Windows clipboard)

Ctrl-C to copy the file (place a copy of the file on the Windows clipboard)

Ctrl-V to paste the file (copy the contents of the clipboard into the current location)
